Quick scheduling and very friendly staff! My four year old had her first dental appointment, and they made her feel very comfortable. Dr. Nair explained everything clearly for her so she could understand what was happening. She is excited to go back!

Park Forest Dental came highly recommended from some coworkers of mine. I came for a 6 month cleaning/maintenance after moving to State College. Upon arriving, Shannon at the front desk was fantastic, I barely had to wait at all and it went smoothly. Furthermore, my dental hygienist Liz was also great and very efficient! Everything was going smoothly so far. However, when the dentist finally came in for the cleaning that I came in for, all she had time to do was check my teeth for about 15-20 minutes. She told me that she was running a bit behind that day and I would have to come back soon and do the cleaning and a filling in the same day. The time that I did have with the dentist, I could tell that she was knowledgable and effective, but it seems that there might be some difficulties in overbooking perhaps? I am not sure. I was disappointed to end my visit in that way, I only ended up being there for about 40 minutes. I am scheduled to come back soon and I am hoping that my next visit goes better with the dentist because the rest of my experience was fantastic!

I had the best dental experience I’ve ever had today with Dr. Nair! The entire staff was incredibly kind, thorough, and honest. After going years without visiting a dentist due to bad experiences and moving around, I was very nervous to be seen by a dentist. Everyone was extremely welcoming and talked me through every step. They also did not try to sell me on anything extra which I really appreciated. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Nair for anyone in the State College area!

We had such a wonderful experience today and I’m so grateful we found this office. We were looking for a second opinion after a really difficult visit at another dentist in Altoona a few weeks ago, and the difference was truly night and day. From the moment we walked in, everyone was welcoming, kind, and professional. A special thank you to Shannon at the front desk who really listened to my concerns and helped get my son in quickly—this meant so much to me as a parent. Dr. Nair and the assistant, Erica, were incredible. They took their time, explained everything clearly, and made sure my son felt comfortable every step of the way. My very nervous 11-year-old was calm and at ease the entire visit, which says everything. This is how a dental experience should be—clean, caring, and patient-focused. I highly recommend this office, especially for families with anxious kids!

*UPDATE* 7/2026 - I've been back to the dentist several times since my original review, and every time has been great. The dentist is awesome, she is compassionate and gentle. She genuinely cares about her patients comfort. The dental assistant is great too, they work like a well oiled machine and have incredible patient bedside manners.... I highly recommend this dentist ❤️ *UPDATE* Today was my first appointment at Park Forest Dental and I'm still just as pleased and happy with my experience as I was with my daughter's. I've not been to the dentist in a few years, and I have a lot going on but I walked away smiling, and comfortable with the explanation of additional treatment I'm going to need! I'll update again after my little one gets her cavity done and I get some of my work started! *ORIGINAL POST* My daughter had her first trip to the dentist today at age 4 and they were absolutely amazing!
